    Cyberport Incubation Programme

    The Centre is inviting applications for its onsite and offsite incubation programme. The application deadline is 5pm August 16, 2010 and the vetting is scheduled in September. The Centre will notify the applicants the vetting result by October 15. The incubation period for current intake will commence in October/November 2010 and close in January 2012. Subject to the Centre's extension to Phase 3 and approval, the incubation period might be extended to two years.

     

    The incubation programme has been expanded from digital entertainment and digital media industries to cover also creative digital lifestyle related areas

    Digital Pioneers Winners Announcement
    Six winners have been selected to take part in the Digital Pioneers Programme 2007, following a day of interviews in both Hong Kong and the UK. A shortlist of ambitious young entrepreneurs working in digital media – 3G game programming and application, international sports animation brand, multimedia special effect, network game and design, network media and contemporary garden and plant related downloadable images database. Three pioneers of Hong Kong are Mr. Wallis Wong, founded 3 Dynamics (Asia) Limited, Ms. Amy Tsang, Assistant General Manger of Jidou Limited and Mr. Bun Kwai, founded ManyMany Creations Limited.     The mission of Cyberport Digital Entertainment Incubation-and-Training Centre (aka Cyberport IncuTrain Centre) of Hong Kong Cyberport Management Company Limited (HKCMCL) is to incubate companies in the digital entertainment and digital multimedia industries of Hong Kong, with initial focus on digital game and film animation.

    The aims of the Programme are:

    • To build and promote entrepreneurship and competence for commercialization success in the digital entertainment industry of Hong Kong;
    • To create a cluster for potential and creative small to medium size companies to develop their business;
    • To reinforce the leading role of Hong Kong in digital entertainment;
    • To enhance cooperative relationship with game development bases in Mainland China;
    • To generate a pool of creative business talents for the industry;
    • To enhance cohesion and networking of the industry through vision, technology, business development and inter-company collaboration.
