calling all digital creative savvies
Digital Pioneer - Young Creative Entrepreneur Network is now open for applications

DIGITAL PIONEERS seeks to provide the opportunity for digital media entrepreneurs to establish new networks in Hong Kong and the UK; a mutually beneficial arrangement providing six entrepreneurs – three from the UK and three from Hong Kong – to raise their game by exposing them to a new culture and potential new markets.

What do we look for in a Digital Pioneer?

  • Someone who is young and creative, aged between 21-35, owns a business or plays an entrepreneurial role in an established company or a section of an established company.
  • Someone who is prepared to be mentored and have his/her existing business practices challenged. 
  • Someone who is keen to explore new markets, has international vision and leadership potential.

Who do we want to recruit?
Industry categories: anything where creative content is driven by digital technology. This includes: gaming, animation, web design, interactive media, film, video and advertising with digital elements.

What will the selected Digital Pioneers get? 

  • Free admission to industry-specific seminars and workshops including one led by the legendary creator of Lara Croft, Ian Livingstone, OBE.
  • Fully funded trips and placement opportunities in UK with organised professional visit programmes to creative companies 
  • Year-long dedicated mentorship from top-notch players in the UK digital media industry.

Meet the legend – IAN LIVINGSTONE, OBE

Ian Livingstone is Creative Director at Eidos and a pioneering legend of interactive entertainment. In 1975 he co-founded Games Workshop Ltd and launched Dungeons & Dragons in Europe. In 1982, again with Steve Jackson, he devised Fighting Fantasy, the series of interactive gamebooks that sold over 15 million copies in 23 languages. At Eidos - the UK's leading developer and publisher of video games - he has helped to secure many of the company's major franchises including Tomb Raider, Championship Manager and Hitman. The Tomb Raider series developed into a hugely successful media franchise including Lara Croft: Tomb Raider, the highest grossing film based on a video game. He was awarded an OBE in 2006 for his contribution to the Computer Games Industry.
