Nicholas Yang, Chief Executive Officer In October 2003, Mr. Yang joined Hong Kong Cyberport Management Company Limited as the Chief Executive Officer.  He is responsible for overseeing the development, management and marketing of the Cyberport Project and formulating strategies for the company, a private limited company wholly-owned by the HKSAR Government.    Mr. Yang has more than twenty nine years of general management, sales, marketing, strategic planning, consulting, and technology development expertise in various high-tech industries. He started his career in U.S. working for Intel Corporation as senior design engineer in 1978.  After graduating from Stanford Business School, he worked as a strategic management consultant for Bain & Company.

In 1983, Mr. Yang left U.S. and came to Hong Kong, and worked for 16 years in Hong Kong and China as the Executive Director and Deputy Group Managing Director of the public-listed Shell Electric Mfg. (Holdings) Ltd., focusing on investing and managing infrastructural and technology ventures.  In 1999, Mr. Yang joined JDS Uniphase Corporation as Vice President of Asia in Strategic Planning and Sales & Marketing, specializing in fiber-optic telecommunication products.  In 2002, he became senior consultant and director of several well-known venture capital and private equity investment firms.    Mr. Yang earned his BS degree in Electrical Engineering and Applied Mathematics from California Institute of Technology in the U.S.  He also received MS degree in Electrical Engineering and an MBA degree from Stanford University. Mr. Yang was born in Taiwan and has lived and worked in Hong Kong for over 25 years.  He is a permanent resident of Hong Kong.

 Mark O. Clift, Chief Operating Officer

Mr. Mark O. Clift, MBA, FRICS, FCIM, BSc (Hons), joined Hong Kong Cyberport in September 2003. He is responsible for all aspects of Campus Management, including tenant relations, facility and property management for offices, retail and venues, construction and project management, residential and office agency, and hotel management. Mr. Clift has more than twenty years of global real estate experience, including asset and facilities management, valuation, agency and surveying.  He started his career in U.K. working for Derwentside District Council, where he was Chief Estates Surveyor from 1988 to 1996.  There he was responsible in 1993 for developing and implementing a full GIS system covering 2,000 ha of land, and was the land manager for Project Genesis, a 300+ha PPP scheme to regenerate a former steelworks site. In 1996, Mr. Clift joined First Pacific Davies Asia Pacific (now Savills) where he was Director of various property and facility management subsidiaries across the Asia Pacific region.  In 2002, he was appointed Head of Management Services, Asia Pacific, to Insignia Brooke (now CBRE) where he developed management services across Asia. Mr. Clift is British and has lived and worked in Hong Kong for 12 years.
