Senior Manager - FinTech Strategy and Investor Engagement (Ref# FTLPT170706W)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work with senior management to formulate the FinTech strategy for Cyberport and lead cross-organisational teams to implement the strategy
  • Develop and engage the investor networks for FinTech and other digital clusters to facilitate and enable investments in Cyberport’s start-ups
  • Initiate and lead FinTech-specific programs to engage the stakeholders in FinTech ecosystems worldwide
  • Nurture, support and engage FinTech start-ups in the Cyberport community to grow into mainland China and international markets
  • Attract and acquire local, mainland China and international FinTech start-ups and established Fintech leaders to join the Cyberport community
  • Bridge FinTech start-ups with financial services institutes on innovation collaboration

Requirements:

  • Bachelor or Master’s degree in business or IT disciplines
  • Minimum 8 years’ experience in the domain of financial services and/or digital technologies
  • First-class knowledge of the latest trends in FinTech worldwide
  • Familiar with FinTech and digital technology investment industry
  • Effective and articulate communicator, ability to work effectively with the C-suite of financial services institutes and digital technology firms
  • Prior engagement in local and global digital start-up ecosystems is preferable

Temporary Senior Manager – Brand & Digital Architect (6-month contract) (Ref# SMBDAO170620I)

Key Responsibilities:

  • To be the brand custodian and align the brand identity to the 3 Year Corporate Strategy
  • Develop the brand character, design, guidelines and usage of the brand identity
  • Visualize the brand proposition through creative articulation across all touch points to raise awareness and goodwill amongst target audience
  • Enrich customer experience for the Cyberport IT street, arcade and hotel through creative means of interactive engagement
  • Work with the marketing team to raise awareness and response to campaigns and events

Requirements:

  • Strong track record in brand management and promotion of innovations and technology
  • Solid portfolio of outstanding advertising, graphics, video and photography production

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform full spectrum of support for HR functions in the areas of support for recruitment, training and development, benefits management and HRIS

Senior Manager – Finance & Accounting (Ref# SMFA170603W)

This position will be under our Finance & Accounting Team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To oversee daily financial and accounting operations
  • To lead and be responsible for the monthly financial reporting, ensuring the production of high-quality accurate financial management information with a focus on identifying trends, risks and opportunities, and the setting of appropriate objectives
  • To attend key meetings to lead discussions on the financial performance
  • To evaluate performance of business units and perform analytical review
  • To prepare annual budget setting, full year forecast and variance analysis, statutory and management reports to the management for strategic planning and control
  • To identify gaps in the knowledge of team members and to put in place trainings and processes to ensure these are closed so the entire team can operate as an effective unit
  • To interpret policies/procedures and the management decisions in regard to accounting and funding mechanisms, and to assess the impact and recommend actions that ensure maximising income and minimising costs
  • To prepare reports and papers for Board and Board Committees
  • To liaise with auditors and other relevant regulatory bodies
  • To liaise with bankers for treasury management and working capital financing
  • To ensure compliance with financial and accounting standards, policies and procedures, both internal and external, and internal control, tax and statutory requirements

Requirements:

Chief Executive Officer (Ref# Cyberport - CEO)

The HKCMCL now invites applications for the post of Chief Executive Officer to lead Cyberport to fulfil its role as Hong Kong’s ICT flagship, to facilitate the overall innovation and technology ecosystem, and deliver its public missions. These include inspiring the next generation, nurturing the entrepreneurial spirit and leaping on global ambition. Under the steer of the Board of Directors and in close cooperation with the Government, the Chief Executive Officer, is the executive head who takes full responsibility for setting the strategy and managing the operation of Cyberport.

Roles and Responsibilities:
The Chief Executive Officer’s main responsibilities include -

  • To provide strong leadership in developing Cyberport into a global hub for innovation and technology in supporting the ICT ecosystem in Hong Kong;
  • To formulate effective strategies and business plans for Cyberport on implementation of programmes to deliver the public missions of Cyberport, including funding programmes for entreprenurs and start-ups, accelerator programmes and venture capital investments;
  • To ensure that Cyberport is in a sound financial position to implement the public missions programme of Cyberport;
  • To foster the growth of technology enterprises and develop clusters of excellence, such as FinTech, e-commerce, big data, etc.;
  • To provide a platform to support industry, academia, SMEs and related players in Hong Kong and for them to create synergy;
  • To assist local ICT companies to expand into Mainland/overseas markets and to attract renowned ICT companies both from Mainland and overseas to conduct R&D and build business platforms at Cyberport;
  • To organise world-class ICT events to brand build Cyberport and Hong Kong;
  • To plan and implement major initiatives as directed by the Board like capital works projects and networking with overseas and Mainland markets and related technology/trade associations;
  • To implement highest standard of management practices in risk management, corporate governance, public accountability and management of board and committee matters;
  • To achieve the key performance indicators and other targets set by the Board of Directors; and
  • To cultivate a motivated work force that is stable, competent, responsive and is operating within budgets.

Requirements:

  • A University degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Technology or relevant disciplines. MBA or a Master degree in related disciplines preferable;
  • A minimum of 15 years of relevant experience, preferably at least 5 years in senior managerial positions;
  • A strategic and innovative leader who has strong motivation in leading Cyberport in making significant contribution to the development of Hong Kong’s ICT ecosystem;
  • Strong network in business, government and academia in Hong Kong, Mainland China, and around the globe;
  • Strong business acumen, good management as well as interpersonal and communication skills; and
  • Good command of both English and Chinese (including Putonghua and Cantonese).
