Macro Fund Internship Programme (Ref# CIP17/MF/0222)

What is Cyberport Internship Programme?

We offer students to gain valuable experiences and training for a period of 3 to 6 months as part of their curriculum requirement.  Each selected candidate will be assigned a specific project and a mentor.  Each project will have well-defined deliverables, providing students with practical experience and learning objectives.

To join us, you need to have:

  • Excellent academic results with career aspiration in venture capital or early-stage investments
  • University endorsement that the internship programme is a part of the curriculum
  • Good verbal and written communication skills in English and Chinese are essential
  • A good team player
  • Available full-time during the internship period

Area of Study:
Business / Economics / Finance / Accounting related discipline

Area of Responsibilities:

  • Conducting research and preparing analyses of companies, industries, capital markets, historical financial statements and prospective financial information
  • Managing due diligence and client relationships at appropriate levels
  • Preparing presentation materials such as teasers, information memorandum and prospectus for use in client meetings
  • Participating in all stages of transaction executions, from the pitch phase through to closing
  • Update of internal data bases and assisting with day-to-day responsibilities

Requirements: 

  • Current MBA or undergraduate students preferably in Business/ Economics/ Finance/ Accounting related discipline with career aspiration in venture capital or early-stage investments
  • Preferably to have taken courses in Corporate Finance I & II with financial modeling
  • Good analytical, communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong self-motivation, willingness to learn and possess a strong work ethic
  • Demonstrated interest in keeping abreast of technology-related industry trends
  • Good knowledge of application software (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Assistant Manager – Retail Marketing (Ref# AMRM0204W)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for planning, organising, implementing and evaluating all marketing events and promotion activities, including festive promotions, sales driven promotions, Public Relations events, in-mall decorations and social media promotions of The Arcade of Cyberport 
  • Lead and give directions to agencies on production of all communication materials, from layout development, printing / production to display / distribution 
  • Manage and monitor the marketing budget for advertising and promotions 
  • Explore joint marketing activities with tenants and other potential partners to enhance the image of the Arcade 
  • Work closely with Campus Management & Leasing & Sales Team to ensure the logistic arrangements of all promotions are well taken care of 
  • Liaise with Tenants on in-mall and in-store activities

Requirements:

  • Degree in marketing, journalism, communications, public relations or related discipline 
  • Minimum 5 years* relevant working experience in marketing communications, event marketing and media relations, preferably in retail or property management industry 
  • Good interpersonal and presentational skills 
  • Creative, analytical and well-organised 
  • Independent, self-motivated and a good team player 

  • Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese 

Manager – Business Development (Ref# MBDPT0204W)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide go-to-market support for start-ups in Cyberport community to enter and grow in mainland China and international markets 
  • Bring in quality digital start-ups and anchor leaders from mainland China and international markets to Cyberport 
  • Proactively develop, manage and sustain relationship with partners and government bodies in local, mainland China and international markets 
  • Bring in quality partners like accelerators from mainland China and international markets to Cyberport

Requirements:

  • Bachelor degree or above in business and IT disciplines 
  • Minimum 8 years’ solid experience in managing partner programs and/or marketing projects, preferably with experience in account management 
  • Experience in partnership development in local, mainland China and/or international markets 
  • A good understanding of the latest trend in digital technologies, such as, FinTech, E-Commerce, Big Data
  • Familiar with digital technologies industry 
  • Prior engagement in local and global digital start-up ecosystems is preferable 
  • Demonstrated experience in leading cross-team projects to achieve strategic goals 
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-growing and multi-tasking working environment 
  • Good negotiation, project management and interpersonal skills 
  • Excellent command in English and Chinese (Cantonese and Putonghua)

Project Assistant (Ref# PAPT0127W)

We are now inviting high caliber individual to join the Partners Team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist to update Programme policies and procedures 
  • Assist in development, production and maintenance of promotional materials
  • Assist in programme logistics arrangement
  • Handle telephone and email enquiries for programme-related activities and events 
  • Assist in developing and implementing the recruiting campaigns and the related trainings of the programmes 
  • Prepare and maintain summary of programme applications 
  • Independently schedule, arrange and handle meeting logistics 
  • Review recipients project spending and prepare for payment 
  • Assist in coordinating of surveys, review meetings and trainings 
  • Prepare all purchasing requests and expense claims for Programmes expenditure 
  • Update the team’s statistical figures periodically 
  • Organise and maintain a proper filling system for the programmes 
  • Collect necessary data from the recipients, update and maintain the database 
  • Composes administrative correspondence and drafts (external and internal) such as memos, letters, reports, presentations, agendas, meeting materials and minutes 

Requirements:

  • Degree or diploma in administration or equivalent 
  • 1 year relevant working experience preferable, fresh university graduates will also be considered  Knowledge of technology and innovation industry is an advantage 
  • Good knowledge of PC skill, including MS work, Excel, PowerPoint 
  • Good communication and interpersonal skill, well-organised and self-motivated 
  • Able to work independently, good sense of responsible and good working attitude 
