We also led delegations to New York, Los Angeles and Texas
and, in return, hosted delegations and speakers from the US at
events such as the renowned “Silicon Dragon Hong Kong 2013”
for providers of venture capitalists and entrepreneurs. During
this event, the speakers advised companies and entrepreneurs
on strategies for entering the China market.
To promote ICT development in the Mainland, we offered
business support to Hong Kong SMEs through our Shanghai
Representative Office and advised them on soft landings,
collaboration and expansion opportunities in the Mainland ICT
sector.
Continuing our Mission
As of 31 March 2014, Cyberport remained in a healthy financial
position. During the year, the Operating Centres incurred
expenditure less income generated, of HK$42 million, in
connection with the Public Mission activities. Excluding the
Company’s contribution to Public Mission activities, operating
profit before depreciation and tax amounted to HK$139 million.
With a sound financial footing, Cyberport is well placed to
pursue its mission of becoming the premier ICT hub in Asia
Pacific.
We have done much to advance our mission of becoming a
regional ICT hub during the 2013/14 year. We not only
increased the size and scope of our services by adding new
cutting-edge infrastructure but also enhanced our support to
incubatees and young ICT start-ups through different initiatives
and programmes. Additionally, we broadened our international
network to provide greater impetus for cross-border
collaboration and business growth as well as a strong
foundation for Hong Kong’s long-term development as a digital
economy.
It has been a very rewarding year for Cyberport and all of our
stakeholders, and I am proud of what we have achieved
together. For this, I would like to thank our management team
and staff, the members of our Board, partners, allies and, of
course, our tenants. With their continuing support, I know we
can look forward to many more successful years ahead.

措施和計劃加強支援受培育公司及

初創企
業。此外，我們不斷拓展國際網絡，加大力度
推動跨境協作及業務增長，為香港致力成為數
碼經濟體的長遠發展奠下穩固根基。
對數碼港和持份者而言，本年度可算是豐收
年，本人能與大家攜手共創佳績，亦與有榮
焉，謹此感謝數碼港管理團隊和全體員工、董
事局成員、業務夥伴、盟友和租戶。得到大家
不懈的支持，我深信日後定能再創佳績。
